Residential Work-Study Program in a Buddhist Community (Volunteer)Tibetan Aid Project - Berkeley, CAThe Tibetan Aid Project offers residential internships for applicants interested in combining work, learning, and practice. Participants work in a non-profit office environment performing tasks such as writing, data entry, graphic design, marketing, administrative support, event planning, and others. Work takes place Monday through Saturday, 8:30 am - 5 pm. Participants live in shared rooms at Nyingma Institute (usually 2 to a room) in Berkeley, California and are also provided with delicious vegetarian meals. Participants also have free access to the wide range of evening Buddhist classes on such subjects as meditation, kum nye (Tibetan yoga), Buddhist psychology, classical Tibetan language, and traditional Buddhist classes.
