Northwest Washington Reading Corps AmeriCorps*VISTA Member
VISTA members will help develop family and community involvement events and projects; donation solicitation and/or grant-writing vis--vis area businesses and foundations; as well as no more than ten hours per week of K-6 literacy tutoring in high needs elementary school in Skagit, Whatcom, or Snohomish County. Assist in WRC testing, support evaluation efforts, participate in service projects and become a role model to children and communities. $833-949 monthly stipend, student loan forbearance, healthcare, childcare, and $5,350 education award provided.
