Tulane University/The Green Project Marketing and Outreach Coordinator VISTA (Volunteer)
In collaboration with the AmeriCorps*VISTA Program, Tulanes Center for Public Service sponsors 25 members to work full time with community partners to assist in their efforts to serve New Orleans. Tulane VISTA members work as liaisons between Tulane's Center for Public Service and the organization with which they are placed. VISTAs work in their placement agencies Monday through Thursday, and meet on Friday at Tulane for staff meetings, professional development, and support. The AmeriCorps VISTA program is as historic as it is important. One year younger than the Peace Corps, VISTA has placed individuals in all walks and stages of life as capacity builders in American Cities.
