Individual will be responsible for evaluating new technologies that may be used to isolate DNA, quantify DNA, or evaluate the quality of DNA. Isolating genomic DNA from whole blood or other biological specimens using CDC validated protocols. Quantifying the amount of human genomic DNA . Isolate plasma from whole blood specimens. Aliquotting DNA and or plasma and prepare shipments to the CDC CASPIR facility. Prepare DNA for distribution to scientific investigators by transferring to 96 well or other plates, packaging and shipping the samples. Will also prepare reports on status of DNA samples Must have BS in Life Science and at least 6 months experience working in a molecular lab.
