Seeking Grant Writer (Volunteer)
The HUV Project is seeking a grant writer to conduct research and write various grant applications - federal, state, county, city, corporate and foundation. This is an unpaid intern for the fall semester/quarter of 2009 with the potential for a full-time position. Hours are negotiable, but we would prefer an intern that can commit between 20 - 32 hours per week. The intern will report to the Executive Director.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Managing existing grants including tracking data, compiling evaluations, and writing reports to existing funding sources.
Researching grant opportunities and developing lists of potential funding sources in grant research books, files, and online.
Drafting letters of intent to grant-makers who require it to invite a proposal.
