We are looking for a retired volunteer that has worked in the banking or real-estate industry to help us teach a free workshop for first-time home buyers in the NE Portland Area. Classes happen once a month, in English and Spanish. Our homeownership program connects people with financial assistance, counseling, and home-buying education, as well as post-purchase counseling and foreclosure prevention. Ideal volunteers would teach one hour of material about working with real-estate agents, brokers, getting a loan, finding a house, and going through the process of purchasing their first home.
