Responsible for the processing of auto-notify requests in the file area. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Answer all incoming telephone calls within 3 rings for the department and respond according to procedure. 2. Obtain correct information for record requests and forward all requests to appropriate file clerk for completion. 3. When the workload dictates: retrieve patient records on admission or upon request by physician, Emergency Department, within the Medical Record Department or approved requestor throughout the hospital. This includes patient records in hard copy and on microfilm.
