Family House Group Volunteering (Volunteer)
Many Family House guests who arrive in Pittsburgh are experiencing some of the worst crises of their lives. They have left their homes and traveled here seeking the high tech medical care that may only be available in our community. Often they are frightened of being far away from home in a strange city.
The friendly and hospitable nature of Pittsburghers comes as a pleasant surprise to many Family House guests.
The volunteer possibilities are infinite, below are some suggestions (however, please feel free to call with some of your own ideas):
-Bake cookies, cakes, brownies
-Make ice cream sundaes, decorate ice cream cones
-Any musical entertainment
-Any small dance groups
-Bring a Sunday Supper to the houses. Simple casseroles or soup, salad, bread and dessert
