Public Ally Nonprofit Apprenticeship (Volunteer)Public Allies Delaware - Wilmington, DEPublic Allies is a highly intensive, paid ten-month apprenticeship program with three main components: Placement within the nonprofit sector, Leadership Training, and Team Service Projects. Every program participant (Ally) is required to uphold the commitment to service of all AmeriCorps members. The following are some general facts about the Public Allies program: The program begins in September of each year and ends in June of the following year. Public Allies is a full-time commitment requiring a minimum of 1,700 hours of service. Allies work an average of 40-50 hours per week. Allies must satisfactorily complete Team Service Projects (in collaboration with fellow Allies) from conception to implementation and evaluation.
