Senior Laboratory Animal Technician (NCI)Saic - Frederick, MDResponsible for performing specialized tasks associated with the breeding, care, treatment or testing of laboratory animals. Performs technical procedures and tests, collects samples, observes and records physical signs of animal health, records test data and is responsible for maintaining a proper living environment for breeding colonies. Tasks are performed independently and may involve the training of Animal Care Personnel and/or Lab Animal Technicians. Training shall be provided in specialized techniques. Work is checked periodically for application of proper techniques. Working hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Will be working in multiple facilities both shower in and change in.
