Specialty Pharmacy AssistantEmblemhealth - New York, NYEssential duties Responds to telephone inquiries from physicians, other healthcare professional and members; Reviews and issues approvals for non-formulary requests based on Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) Committee approved criteria for healthcare professionals. Bring any escalated issues/potential denials to the pharmacy manager or medical director for review. Prepare benefit denial letters when necessary. Other duties/projects as assigned.
