Nuclear Security OfficerTennessee Valley Authority (tva) - Decatur, ALJOB SUMMARY: The work of this position covers providing access control and emergency response at operating nuclear plants. Responsibilities include strict adherence to Nuclear Regulatory Commission rules and regulations as specified in procedures, other written and verbal instructions. Incumbent works under the direct supervision of a Sergeant or other supervisor but is given considerable latitude for the exercise of independent thought and judgment in performance of various duties and assignments. The nature of duties performed and unforeseen circumstances frequently present situations which are not specifically covered by regular instructions and in which he/she must act upon his/her own initiative and judgment.
