Volunteer Naturalist (Volunteer)
Volunteer naturalists, with their commitment to undergo extensive training, participate in continuing education, and schedule regular hours sharing a love of nature with the public, are the backbone of the Trinity River Audubon Centers (TRAC) volunteer team. Because of their training, volunteer naturalists may assist in the classroom, teach classes, lead trail walks, or perform other responsibilities. The 16-hour basic training program, followed by other on-going educational opportunities, is mandatory. 4-hour shifts, scheduled in advance; for those 18 yrs. +. A background check and membership in the center are required.
