Senior Fellow Scientist/ Engineer
Provide technical leadership in building Savannah River National Lab (SRNL) performance assessment capabilities to support safe waste disposition for Savannah River Site (SRS) and other Department of Energy (DOE) facilities. Position requires developing key relationships with DOE, NRS, EPA and contractor peronnel to help define program requirements and enhance technical leadership in the area. Specific responsibilities include: Defining scope, leading interdisciplinary teams and working with customers/regulators on technical programs involving performance/risk assessments. Develop cost-effective, technically sound and regulatory-viable solutions to unique challenges in designing, operating, monitoring and closing low-level waste disposal systems and production facilities.
