Family Room Volunteer
Family Room volunteers at the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware help with daily operations at the House that help to make it a home away from home for the families of seriously or chronically ill and injured children receiving treatment at local hospitals. This is an ongoing scheduled volunteer opportunity for Sunday afternoons 3 p.m. - 6 p.m., requiring a weekly or bi-weekly commitment for a minimum of 6 months. Volunteers in this position help to welcome families to the House when they arrive for their stay. They educate families about the the policies and services at the House. Volunteers also assit with the check-out process when families leave. Volunteers also train to prepare guest rooms.
