Accountemps - Tampa, FLA Tampa Hospital is looking for a Medical Collector for a project assignment up to 3 months. The responsibilities of this Medical Collector will include but are not limited to the following: - Research, digest and communicate complex medical and insurance issues - Compile data involving an understanding of programs, policies, and procedures - Maintain and update insurance fee schedules and contracts - Act as the liaison for the laboratory between hospitals and payers in the insurance contracting process - Assist Billing Administrator and department staff in various functions required to monitor and collect patient accounts. - Write appropriate correspondence for the billing department.
