Fracture Control Scientist job in Dulles, VA

The LAS Fracture Control Specialist will be responsible for leading Project Orion Launch Abort System (LAS) fracture control efforts to meet Orbital, LM, and NASA requirements on all LAS structures, mechanisms, and propulsion elements to support LAS design, development and production. The LAS Fracture Control Specialist will lead the Fracture Control Plan development efforts, implement a system for classification of all LAS parts for fracture control, fracture analysis, defining and implementing testing requirements, test procedure development including inspection and NDT requirements, drawing requirements, and all documentation and submittals required by NASA, LM, or Orbital requirements.
