INSTRUCTOR GUARDCity of Costa Mesa - City Hall, CATHE POSITION The Instructor Guard monitors the use of the swimming pool, enforces safety rules, and provides supervision and instructional work in the Aquatics Program. WORK SCHEDULE: This part-time position works during the school year (September to June) and during the Summer session (June to September). Work schedules vary as needed. Note: Part-time employees are appointed by and serve at the will of the Department Director. Employees do not contribute to the Social Security system; however, federal mandate requires new employees to contribute 1.45% of wages to Medicare and requires enrollment in an alternative retirement system.
