IP CounselInvitrogen - Foster City, CALife Technologies has an immediate opportunity available for a Patent Attorney responsible for the development and enforcement of LIFE Technologies' IP portfolio related to sequencing assays and instrumentation. This role may be housed in Foster City, CA or in Carlsbd, CA. The preferred candidate will have a strong molecular biology background including an in depth appreciation for methods of DNA sequencing and recombinant DNA technologies such as cloning and ligation, and a working familiarity with instrumentation and chemistry, either through education, work experience, or both. In depth understanding of legal issues surrounding nucleic acid sequences, diagnostics, and amplification technologies such as PCR is a must.
