ABOUT BEST BUDDIES
Best Buddies International is the worlds largest non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities, by providing opportunities for one-to-one friendships and integrated employment. Founded in 1989 by Anthony Kennedy Shriver, Best Buddies is a vibrant, international organization that has grown from one original chapter to more than 1,400 middle school, high school, and college chapters across the county and internationally.
Established in 1993, Best Buddies Texas is a state affiliate of Best Buddies International. Best Buddies Texas currently has 67 high school and college chapters and in the DFW Metroplex there are nine high school chapters and six college chapters.
