Life Science Research Assistant II (LSRAStanford University - Stanford, CAJob Location School of Medicine The Department of Molecular and Cellular Physiology seeks a Life Science Research Assistant II. (LSRA) The LSRA will be a senior staff member, who will spearhead an effort in the lab to deorphanize receptor-ligand interactions through a high-throughput genomic and proteomics approach. A large collection of cDNA expression vectors will be constructed and tested. Some bioinformatics experience will be helpful in order to analyze the gene and protein sequences for the optimal design of expression constructs. Familiarity with general parallel and high throughout methods in molecular biology is important. The position will also discover novel binding ligands to proteins using combinatorial biology such as Fabs displayed in phage, or ribosome display.
