The specialist is also responsible to provide guidance and information to patients on insurance and the implication of different insurance options allowing the patient to make informed insurance decisions. The Insurance Support Specialist's focus will include ensuring that commercial patients insurance questions are addressed and resolved; securing secondary coverage for Medicare No Secondary patients; and assisting underinsured and uninsured / pending coverage patients with eligibility and / or coverage options.
