Telecommute-Freelance-Writer job in Los Angeles, CA

SmartBrief is seeking a freelance writer to help create daily online business and energy news e-mail newsletters from approximately 6 to 8 a.m. EST Monday through Friday. This is a deadline-intensive writing position! The ideal candidate has worked as a writer or editor on an energy beat with multiple daily deadlines. Our briefs summarize the top stories of the day for dozens of industry associations, and our editors work with our freelance writers to shape the content for those briefs and become an expert in the topics. Applicants must have at least five years of experience writing business- or energy-oriented news and be a U.S. or U.K. citizen. This position is a telecommuting position.
