Web Designer/Developer7 Delta - Silver Spring, MDResponsibilities: This candidate will primarily be responsible for web design and should expect to take ownership of maintaining and modifying the VA's Internet/Intranet templates. Secondary role would be to assist and support web development projects and tasks. The candidate must be able to work with end users and team members to establish the gross requirements for Web page design. They must have at least five (5) years of graphic design, Web design and/or system front-end development in a production environment. The candidate*s primary areas of expertise must include fluency in graphic design and modification / image optimization, HTML, XHTML, CSS and complex JavaScript implementation, and best practices in Web site development as well as 508 compliance, accessibility, and usability.
