PsychiatryFort Walton Beach Medical Center - Fort Walton Beach, FLJob Description Psychiatry opportunity on Florida's beautiful Emerald Coast We are currently seeking a Psychiatrist to take over the outpatients practice from a retiring physician. Currently the physicians are doing 70-80% outpatient work and 20-30% inpatient work. FWBMC has a 48-bed adult acute care center of which 24 beds or the locked unit. There are currently five Psychiatrist with privileges in unit. There average length of stay is 6.7 days. They take patients from their 18th birthday on up. Three doctors take rotating emergency call to cover the patients that present through the ER or come from other facilities. Court is in the hospital on Tuesdays. Physician would be looking at 7-8 days a call a month with part of that call covering 1 weekend a month. The doctors round their...
