Via Christi has remote coding capability and is now off ering a sign-on bonus for this position. You will be responsible for assigning accurate ICD-9-CM and procedure codes for patient care. Youll abstract the appropriate surgeons and consultants, identify complications/co-morbid conditions, verify appropriate admission source and discharge disposition codes and more. To qualify, youll need a passing grade on a Via Christi-administered coding test, at least fi ve years of ICD coding experience (an associates degree is preferred), and RHIT, RHIA, CCS, or CPC-H registration or certifi cation.
