Network Design EngineerCambridge Technical - Atlanta, GAThe IP Backbone Operations Engineer is accountable for the support of the National Backbone and the Services that are delivered via the Backbone. These services include MPLS VPN*s (Layer 2 and Layer 3), VoIP, and Video over IP and SS7 over IP, High Speed Internet, and Peering. Engineers will be responsible for reliability, performance, scalability, quality, and availability of the Backbone Network. 1. Perform extensive evaluation of traffic matrix for the National Backbone. 2. Assess traffic impact as a result of fiber and/or network maintenance activity 3. Perform analysis during outage conditions and recommend corrective action to minimize customer impact 4.
