Tumor Registrar, CertifiedUmass Memorial Health Care - Worcester, MAPosition Summary: Performs a variety of tasks, to include identifying reportable neoplasms using an automated case finding system, abstracts records according to ACOS guidelines, FORDS and MP/H coding rules. Conducts follow-up on abstracted cases, contacts outside facilities to maintain accurate data collection. Attend various conferences as requested. Assist with data quality reviews. Position Qualifications: Must be certified by the National Tumor Registrars Association with 1-2 years experience working as a tumor registrar, or an associates degree in Health Sciences or related field with one or two years experience working as a tumor registrar and/or one year in an allied health profession to be eligible to sit for the exam in 2009.
