TablersResource Center For Nonviolence - Santa Cruz, CAWe are looking for people interested in tabling along side military recruiters at local high school fairs and other events. The purpose of our table would be to promote alternatives careers for high school youth, rather than going into the military. Truth in Recruiting Network of Santa Cruz County (TIRN) was formed in 2008 to counter the growing presence of military recruiters in our local high schools. The group regularly tables alongside military recruiters at local high schools and offers classroom presentations featuring veterans of the Vietnam and Iraq wars who speak to students about their experiences with the military.
