Delaware Hospice - Wilmington, DEBereavement Volunteers work with staff to provide support to surviving family and significant others of Delaware Hospice patients who have passed away. Bereavement volunteers may make phone calls to family members, assist with mailings, or help with support groups and special programs, such as our summer camp for children who have lost loved ones. Mandatory training is held in the fall and spring. Background checks are completed for all volunteers working directly with patients. Time commitment is flexible.
