Responsible for the prompt and/or routine execution of physicians' orders relating to respiratory care. Initiate and maintain continuous mechanical ventilation and oxygen therapy procedures involving oxygen masks, nasal cannulas, hoods or oxygen tents.Administer medication to the respiratory tract, including: bronchodilators, decongestants, wetting agents, mucoidal emulsifying agents, steroids, antibiotics, surfactant and any other FDA approved drug for such application. Respond to high-risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitation occurring in delivery, Surgery, or N.I.C.U., P.I.C.U or E.R.
