Lighting DesignerNew York, NYThe Organization seeks an Assistant Lighting Designer to assist the Senior Lighting Designers in all aspects of the planning and execution of lighting design throughout the Museum. The Assistant Lighting Designer is responsible for administrative duties, as well as, assisting in actual gallery lighting. Responsibilites include coordination of lamp and equipment orders, scheduling project times, facilitating communication with other museum departments, and working with designiers on lighting of special exhibitions, gallery installations, rotations, permanent galleries and capital projects.Successful candidates will have previous experience in lighting design techniques with a view toward pursuing a career in this field.
