Docent
Docents are trained to introduce groups to the Whittier Museum's special and permanent exhibits with a variety of techniques that encourage the visitor to look at, discuss, and gain insight into the firest 100 years of Whittier's history. The Whittier Museum features artifacts from antiquity and contemporary periods. Docent and/or teaching experience preferred, but not essential; public speaking skills; friendliness; interest in working with people of varying ages. Volunteers must be available at least one weekend or six hours per month.
