Primary responsibilities include the design, execution and interpretation of experiments to study the use of enzymatic reactions on experimental DNA arrays. Examples include (but are not limited to) solid-phase PCR on array surfaces, quantitative studies of DNA through novel hybridization assays, and novel methods for SNP genotyping on arrays. Working closely with Chemists, this position relies heavily on the use of molecular biology techniques in building, characterizing and troubleshooting experimental arrays.
