Within this role, the adult nurse practitioner synthesizes theoretical, scientific and contemporary clinical knowledge for the assessment and management of both health and illness states. The primary care provided consists of evaluation of normal and abnormal findings, initiation of treatments and coordinating the discharge process. These functions will be performed in accordance with the Standardized Procedures approved by the Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital Committee for Credentials and Interdisciplinary Practices and Cardiology section.
