Hospice volunteer
Jordan House volunteers care for people in their own home who are enlisted in a Hospice program, such as Hospice Caring Project and Heartland Hospice. Our role is to supplement their work in situations where more help is needed than Hospice can provide. Our volunteers offer companionship, listening ears, prayer, scripture reading if appropriate and welcomed, light housekeeping, gardening, meal preparation, gentle massage, help with personal hygiene, and other errands as we are able. We provide understanding and support for client's loved-ones, and a calm, quiet, comforting, presence in the home.
