Claims Representative
Overall Goal: Provide quality claims services to clients, producers and internal staff. Assist in the strengthening of client relationships by providing outstanding claims advocacy for all lines of business. Responsibilities: Prepare first notice of loss reports; submit losses to the appropriate insurance companies. Review policies to confirm coverage and ensure proper reporting to the carrier(s). Alert management to potential coverage issues at the onset of the claim. Review reservation of rights letters and disclaimers for accuracy. Work with management on an appropriate action plan if further steps are required. Communicate with producers, insureds, insurance carriers, and attorneys on various issues including, reserve increases, litigation, coverage issues, and general updates.
