Disaster Services Volunteer
Disaster Volunteers serve in a number of capacities such as: Administrative Support: data entry, filing, copying, grant writing, telephone calls; training; preparedness events; local disaster response Disaster Action Team Member (DAT) - respond to local events such as single family fires; each team is scheduled on a weekly basis and provides 24/7 coverage; responsible for a larger event response to provide sheltering, feeding, and other services for people affected by the disaster Regional/ National Response: responding in the event of a large disaster to provide direct services or support activities All Disaster Services volunteers must: -Attend a volunteer orientation -Complete a background check -Complete a Disaster Services Human Resources application -Get CPR/First Aid certified...
