AttorneyLenox Hill Neighborhood House - New York, NYLenox Hill Neighborhood House's Legal Advocacy & Organizing Department is seeking a dedicated and talented Housing Attorney (on a temporary basis beginning December 1, 2009) to work with our three attorneys and four non-attorney advocates to provide general civil legal services to low-income individuals and families on the East Side of Manhattan who are facing eviction and threats to their housing stability. Our Legal Advocacy & Organizing department provides assistance to more than 2000 clients each year, on issues such as housing, health care, government entitlements, employment law and advance directives. The attorney will work on a variety of housing-related legal issues, including eviction defense, repairs, Rent Control and Rent Stabilization issues and subsidized housing. The...
