The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a Level III center in Greenville, North Carolina, consists of 16 convalescent and 52 NICU beds. Vidant Children’s Hospital is the only tertiary facility in eastern North Carolina designed especially for pediatric patients. Construction is well under way on the Children’s Hospital Addition to be completed in July 2013.
