**Our client expects its zVM & Websphere Administrator to contribute as illustrated with the following tasks:**a. Make recommendations to our client on actions to improve their processes to optimize the zVM & Websphere environment.
b. Test, and as approved by the client, implement software patches and releases.
c. Perform other administrative tasks normally performed by a zVM & Websphere Administrator.
d. Manage system performance for the zVM & Websphere environments via the use of existing client performance and monitoring tools.
e. Work with other client resources to assist in providing a holistic view of the client's environment.
f. Participate in Root Cause Analysis exercises to promptly and accurately identify problem sources for outage, performance, or other ...

## Qualifications

**Our client expects its zVM & Websphere Administrator to contribute as illustrated with the following tasks:**a. Make recommendations to our client on actions to improve their processes to optimize the zVM & Websphere environment.
b. Test, and as approved by the client, implement software patches and releases.
c. Perform other administrative tasks normally performed by a zVM & Websphere Administrator.
d. Manage system performance for the zVM & Websphere environments via the use of existing client performance and monitoring tools.
e. Work with other client resources to assist in providing a holistic view of the client's environment.
f. Participate in Root Cause Analysis exercises to promptly and accurately identify problem sources for outage, performance, or other service degradation situations.
g. Participate, if requested, in any teams formed to provide tactical improvements for the client's environments.
h. Provide technical and administrator support for the zVM & Websphere software environment.

**Communication skills must be strong.**

Initial project is for mid- September through mid-January, potential for renewal after mid-January 2014

**Resources will likely be on call and may be asked to provide support during non-business hours if there is a critical situation during testing. **

a) Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills.

b) Strong interpersonal skills for communicating with IT personnel, business personnel and vendors.

c) Ability to work under aggressive deadlines and periodic heavy workloads.

d) Able to exercise discretion, sound judgment and work independently.

e) Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment
