3. Assure all safety procedures are followed.
4. Effectively communicateby providing a structured, precise, and technical explanation to customers.
5. Promote service business by providing a clear explanation of needed and suggested repairs.
6. Create and analyze detail failure analysis.
7. Maintain and manage technician efficiency rate.
8. Develop and create work plans for engine, industrial, and mobile generators technicians.
9. Create procedures to assure the promoting of suggestive selling and up-selling of service specials and recommend preventative maintenance.
10. Maintain service measurements and service processes.
11. Resolve customer concerns in connection with either Cummins, Inc. or distributorship warranties.
12. Understand and review warranty process, warranty alerts, and product updates to customers.
13. Interface with customers to answer service questions both over the phone and in person.
14. Review final work orders and apply warranty if needed. Separate invoices according to warranty and customer pay and review completed repair orders with customers.
15. Increase shop business by consistently making service calls and visiting with existing loyal customers once a month.
16. Promote the overall appearance of the shop by maintaining a clean and orderly department. Supervise the professionalism of service department employees to project total quality and customer-led mindset. Serve as substitute in the absence of Service Manager.
17. Assist dealer service organizations in troubleshooting and repair procedures when required.
18. Facilitate complete customer service process in absence of Service Writers.
19. Hire, dismiss, and review all Service Department employees, subject to Operations Manager's approval.
Job Requirements : KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS,

AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Possess superior interpersonal and excellent communication and customer service skills.
3. Strong computer skills.
4. Familiarity with Cummins products, theory of diesel engines, and the ability to diagnose.
5. Ability to read, understand, and interpret all service manual topics, parts manuals, warranty alerts, campaigns, Quick Serve on-line and SRT manuals. Be able to assist technicians with this information.
6. Must possess leadership qualities and self-motivation.
7. Familiar with all tools, replacement parts, and equipment needed to repair Cummins products.
8. Legible handwriting.
9. Must have knowledge of warranty policies.
10. Must have an internal drive for customer service and provide an elevated level of service for internal and external customers.
11. Must comply with safety rules and regulations and apply them to daily work routines for personal safety and the safety of others.
12. Extensive knowledge of BMS system.
