The Ad Operations Solutions Specialist is the technical subject matter expert for publisher online advertising within KBB. The Ad Operations Solutions Specialist will identify, resolve, communicate, track and report on all online advertising-related issues. The Ad Operations Solutions Specialist is the technical consultant to our advertising teams and will identify, develop, and implement time and expense saving operational solutions via software and/or processes.

Position responsibilities:
•Represent the Ad Operations team as technical consultant for publisher online advertising, both in the industry and within KBB, establishing and adhering to best practices.

•Develop and maintain relationships with industry-specific organizations; such as the IAB, MMA and AdMonsters. Leverage these resources for best practices, policies and certifications.
•Maintain internal tracking system for all online advertising issues, including identification, active resolution, proactive communication and monthly reporting. Escalation point for advertising-related issues company wide.
•Develop and maintain strong relationships with advertising vendors, ensuring that KBB is up-to-date on new features and functionality available to us. Act as liaison between our advertising teams and vendors for issue resolution and feature requests.
•Investigate and certify 3rd and 4th party services for acceptance on kbb.com, ensuring compliance with existing data protection and latency requirements.
•Periodically review process with our advertising teams, looking to software and/or vendor solutions to address pain points or improve organizational efficiency for advertising processes.
•Develop and administer internal advertising tools, ensuring they are up-to-date and that the functionality evolves with the needs of our Products.
•Maintain creative advertising specifications, both on kbb.com and external specs databases.
•Provide centralized training to members of Ad Operations and others within the KBB organization; including internal processes, tools and vendor software specific to advertising.
•Work within kbb.com’s agile project management process for advertising projects involving kbb.com engineering and quality assurance teams; including, development/enhancement of internally-built ad tools, DFP ad tag optimization, online ad specifications changes and day-to-day bug resolution.
•Administrator of online advertising software systems; includes ad servers, contract administration, behavioral targeting and other systems essential to day-to-day operations.
•Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and/or air.
•Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

•Intermediate personal computer skills, including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.

•Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization

•Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry

•Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

•Excellent problem solving skills.

•Fundamental understanding of publisher side ad tagging procedures and best practices.

•Minimum of 1-2 years working on the administrative side of a Contract Management or Inventory Management system such as Operative’s AdSuite/Dashboard/Operative.One products, Google’s DSM or AdSoftware.

•Must be comfortable working with cross-functional teams; prioritizing projects, weighing trade-offs and setting clear expectations.

•Clear and concise communication skills with the ability to speak and present to various levels within the organization; including the ability to explain complex technical issues.

•Strong experience working with HTML, JavaScript and Flash/Actionscripting and HTML 5.

•Working knowledge of Web 2.0 programming language, such as Ajax, Jboss, etc.
