POSITION SUMMARY:

In addition to providing treatment, they will be expected to communicate with patients, families, and physicians.

This position requires documentation in the electronic medical record. They must be able to document appropriate clinical findings, and be able to formulate a plan of care based on the patients condition.

The ARNP/PA will develop, evaluate, and revise standards, policies, and procedures within a specialty area. Thy will serve as a resource for other health care providers as well as educate patients and families on preventative care, medical issues, and use of prescribed medical treatment.

The selected candidate will work in an independent and interdependent relationship with members of the medical staff, which allows for consultation, collaboration, and referral.

RESEARCH:

* Identify researchable topics related to clinical practice.
* Identify research studies for clinical implementation.
* Ensure ethical and legal practice in the conduct of clinical research.
* Guide nurses in research-based practice protocols.
* Encourage and guide the development of the research process.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

* Masters degree (MS) and/or graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioner program

* Minimum of two years ARNP experience related to area of practice, Oncology, Womens Health or Genetics preferred-not required

* Minimum of five years of clinical experience private practice or hospital outpatient setting

* BLS certification from the American Heart Association

* Certification in specialty; Women Health, Family Practice NP and or Adult Practice NP

* Current Florida State ARNP or Physician Assistant license required

*Incumbent may be required to perform emergency duty before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency, crisis situation or disaster (man-made or natural) including evacuation sites.
The person in this location will work in a smoke-free location, and is expected to adhere to all smoking restrictions.
