Location: Multiple locations within Mon Power Responsibilities include:


* Demonstrate a solid commitment to all aspects of safety.


* Learn to coordinate work request activity and provide status updates, through contacts and field visits in multiple service
centers, with customers, contractors, internal entities and department sections. - Accept weekly assignments outside of home territory, which require extended stays.


* Participate in weekly planning meeting for each service center to discuss new work, customer requests, material and
equipment needs, as well as, permit requirements, priorities and status of jobs. - Learn established processes and procedures to coordinate job start and completion dates, power on follow-ups and fast track
jobs.


* Provide backup support to local WMI scheduler when needed; including learning scheduling process through Click, performing
morning schedule adjustments, and monitoring schedules throughout the day for work completion and possible barriers.


* Monitor various WMI reports, including backlog, productivity, closing efficiency and material management to meet company
objectives.


* Provide assistance during emergencies and storm-related activities, at assigned centers as well as throughout FE service
territory.


* Attend informational meetings and training, including those at various off-site locations, other First Energy office locations, and
training facilities that require overnight stays.


* At Associate level, apply knowledge of state regulatory requirements for distribution inspection and maintenance. At Assistant
level, develop familiarity with these state regulatory requirements and complete required regulatory overhead and/or
underground inspections as assigned.


* Learn process to provide technical reports, metrics and strategies to ensure compliance with company practices and
procedures. At Associate level, also assist with developing and providing supporting documentation, communication, training
and adherence to existing process and improvement practices as necessary. - Learn (and at the Associate level, assist with) the budget process, including determining expected benefits, providing budget
level cost estimates and presenting business case for funding decision. Qualifications Qualifications include:


* Minimum Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology or related discipline along with 0-2 years of related job experience, or
High School Diploma (or GED) along with 2-4 years related work experience.


* Related work experience is knowledge of construction and maintenance practices (i.e. substation, overhead lines, underground
lines), procedures, work methods, materials, equipment and tools which would be used to determine the resources necessary to
perform construction and maintenance work activities.


* Must have experience with PC software applications including Microsoft Office, (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc.)


* Must have the ability to acquire knowledge and understanding of legal and regulatory requirements.


* Must understand the company's Accident Prevention Handbook and apply this to safety in the workplace.


* Must have knowledge of the purpose, function, and operating characteristics of equipment and systems, (i.e. substation,
overhead lines, underground lines),


* Must have ability to work in a team environment, and to manage, organize and prioritize work with attention to detail.


* Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills, as well as time management skills.


* Demonstrated interpersonal skills necessary to operate in a team or consensus decision-making
environment, possessing the ability to evaluate solutions and make decisions based on knowledge of work practices and
consultation with supervision.


* Must have a personal vehicle to commute to various facilities and locations as required, possessing a valid driver's license.


* Must be willing to work out of town at other locations for multiple days staying over night when necessary.


* Knowledge of (for Associate level) or ability to learn (for Assistant level) the following:


* How to interpret work requests, engineering drawings, schematics, equipment instruction manuals and procedures to develop
accurate work plans. - Construction methods, maintenance practices, service practices, standards and procedures.


* Basic skills to develop, collect, organize, and analyze information from a variety of sources.


* How to work effectively with field employees and management personnel, along with interfacing and working with customers, contractors and the general public, in a professional and courteous manner.


* Procedures and processes for the acquisition of materials, equipment and tools, basics of line design, Joint Use process and
SPANS system. - Lotus Notes or Microsoft Office, SAP, geographical information system (GIS), customer request work scheduling (CREWS), power outage reporting system (PowerOn), computer aided drafting (CAD/AutoCAD) and Energy Delivery Outage Application.
