Completed four-year approved/accredited residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Board certified or eligible.

Completion of a pediatric/adolescent gynecology fellowship preferred.

Completion of a board approved residency in General Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Extensive experience in pediatric/adolescent gynecologic surgical experience preferred.

Track record as an accomplished academic gynecologist with an established area of expertise.

For appointment at associate professor (CHS) level, the candidate must meet criteria as defined in guidelines for appointment or promotion on CHS track in the UW School of Medicine and Public Health.

**Principal duties:**


The faculty member will be an active participant in the clinical, research, and academic service in the Division of Gynecology and Gynecologic Subspecialties in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Academic responsibilities include participation in teaching programs related to medical students, residents and fellowships. This will include responsibilities in the simulation lab, developing advanced skills and metrics for residents. The candidate is also expected to oversee the training of residents in the operating room, clinic, and inpatient unit and will also participate in the training of department fellows as the need arises.

Clinical responsibilities include participating in the care of patients at one or more of the hospitals affiliated with UW Health, including the UW Hospital and Clinics, American Family Children's Hospital, Meriter Hospital and the Veteran's Administration Hospital. Clinical responsibilities will be a combination of both adult pediatric/adolescent gynecology and gynecology. Duties include consultative and surgical care for pediatric and adolescent gynecology patients as well as surgical, inpatient and ambulatory adult gynecologic services. The candidate will participate in the full-time call pool for inpatient and day-time emergency department benign gynecology consults. This position will include working collaboratively to optimize patient-centered care not only with the various divisions of the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology such as Gynecologic Oncology, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and General Obstetrics and Gynecology, but also developing and maintaining multidisciplinary collaborations with pediatrics, pediatric surgery, pediatric urology, endocrinology, genetics and others.

The incumbent will be expected to have demonstrated an interest in clinical research and will be expected to initiate and participate in clinical research studies, as well as quality and outcome programs.

The incumbent will participate in opportunities for community service at the department, school, and institution levels appropriate to the faculty rank.
