Position Summary:

The Business Development Manager is a demanding position that requires solid communication and sales skills.   An associate in this position must demonstrate the ability to implement sales and marketing campaigns as well as represent Driving Ambition’s services and integrity to customers.  The Business Development Manager will build market position by identifying, developing, negotiating and closing business relationships with new prospects.

Responsibilities:

Conduct outbound phone calls and qualify, generate, and develop leads into potential sales opportunities through direct communications in face-to-face meetings, telephone calls and emails
Actively and successfully manage Driving Ambition’s sales process from lead generation through closing
Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating service agreements; integrating service agreement requirements with business operations.
Enhance industry knowledge, particularly DOT & FMCSA rules and regulations, by participating in educational programs; reading professional ...

Position Summary:

The Business Development Manager is a demanding position that requires solid communication and sales skills.   An associate in this position must demonstrate the ability to implement sales and marketing campaigns as well as represent Driving Ambition’s services and integrity to customers.  The Business Development Manager will build market position by identifying, developing, negotiating and closing business relationships with new prospects.

Responsibilities:

Conduct outbound phone calls and qualify, generate, and develop leads into potential sales opportunities through direct communications in face-to-face meetings, telephone calls and emails
Actively and successfully manage Driving Ambition’s sales process from lead generation through closing
Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating service agreements; integrating service agreement requirements with business operations.
Enhance industry knowledge, particularly DOT & FMCSA rules and regulations, by participating in educational programs; reading professional publications; maintaining personal and business networks; participating in professional associations
Stay cognizant of innovative sales and marketing strategies to maximize effectiveness
Enhance organization’s reputation by accepting ownership and exploring opportunities to add organizational value
Work with Dispatch & Customer Service team on joint sales calls, demos and webinars

Requirements:

Sales or recruiting experience, preferably in transportation industry
Proven experience qualifying opportunities, gathering solid requirements and
closing business with accurate proposals
Ability to penetrate new accounts and build business with inactive and existing clients
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM-based programs.  Driving Ambition uses a customized proprietary software program (SAVI) to manage all prospects and leads
Confidently demonstrate excellent presentation/communication/influencing/negotiating skills, both written and verbal
Attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, superior time management skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
Excellent listening skills producing a high level of customer satisfaction. Must be able to listen for opportunities as well as potential hurdles
Complete 2-4 weeks of in-house training in all aspects of Driving Ambition’s operations
Maintain an active involvement with various industry associations, including but not limited to MOTA, NPTC, TCA, participation in functions such as Safety Council Meetings, Truck Driving Championships, Annual Dinners, and other company sponsored events
Work closely with the Director of Sales, Driver Recruiter, and/or President & CEO in a variety of areas with the intent to improve Driving Ambition’s model and assist with growth
