Position Summary:

As the business development and sales representative for the Mobile Data Collection product line your primary responsibilities are the generation, management, and qualification of the sales lead pipeline. You will work with potential customers to define scope of work and budget, assist with responses to proposal and quotation requests, and support marketing campaigns through attendance at exhibitions, trade shows and industry events. You will be responsible for meeting financial targets and assist with developing and executing sales strategies necessary to accomplish these targets.

Mobile Data Collection Product Line Summary:

Delcan Technologies, a Parsons company, produces a line of mobile data collection (MDC)products track a variety of vehicles including light duty fleets, snowplows and safety service patrol heavy duty trucks. The MDC system is capable of collecting a wide range of data allowing for a variety of advanced features including Geo-Services, AdHoc reporting, collection of camera images, integration to and exporting of data to 3rd party systems including task order management , vehicle preventative maintenance planning, and more.

Position can be located in Atlanta Georgia, or other major cities, where Parsons has an office (Chicago IL, Boston MA, Denver CO, Pasadena or Los Angeles CA, Houston Texas, Phoenix AZ)

Qualifications:

3-7 years of Business Development/Sales experience in product and technology type sales, related to Mobile Data solutions for Vehicles, telematics, GPS, or related/similar technology. OR 10+ years experience working in a Department of Transportation type of agency, working with telematics, GPS or Mobile data collections products for vehicles.

Prefer candidates with experience with selling to various state/federal/local agencies, like Department of Transportation, and/or other public works agencies.

4-year degree in Engineering or Business (or equivalent) preferred

Excellent written skills with the ability to coordinate proposal/bid responses

Technical writing skills, must be able to work with engineers to create concise and clear responses

Proposal pricing, must be able to accurately determine scope and deliverables to establish appropriate pricing

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to give product demonstrations in person or over the web. Products are highly technical software/hardware solutions

Strong people and relationship building skills

Ability to plan, organize, and execute sales strategies to meet financial goals

Ability to identify and articulate areas of growth and comparable markets for product expansion

Should have experience with providing input and guidance for marketing efforts and campaigns

Willingness to travel with a focus on North America, and if not located in Atlanta Georgia location, must be willing to travel there 1 X per month. (Travel @ 50%-75%)

Skills:

Preference will be given to candidates working with Mobile data collection, with vehicular applications.

Knowledge of telecommunications system for vehicular technologies is preferred.

Good computer skills, Microsoft word, Excel, Power point, etc.
