Responsible for operating Center placement functions in strict compliance with the Job Corps’ Policy and Requirements Handbook (PRH). Assists in the development of the Center's Annual Placement Plan in accordance with PRH requirements. Develops and maintains an active coordinating relationship with local and regional WIA partners and other employment and training organizations, agencies, etc. Supports the Center’s Work Based Learning Program and classroom and Center functions related to work-based learning. Participates in various classroom training activities, specifically in employability skills training, workplace communication training, life skills training, social skills training, diversity training, etc. Participates in student/employee Evaluation System (formerly known as P/PEPs), orientations, and on/off Center functions. Maintains liaisons with employers, labor unions, state employment service offices, military recruiters and Job Corps’ placement and support agencies/contractors to facilitate the on-going and continuous placement of student/employees. Identifies barriers to student/employee placement, and formulates and executes plans for eliminating these placement barriers. Participates in employer-oriented community activities in order to foster student/employee placement opportunities and to serve as a representative for the Center. Assist in every effort necessary to achieve the Center’s OMS goals and ensure that the Zero Tolerance Policy is strictly adhered to. Promotes a positive work environment through the use of good social skills and application of Core Values, Career Success Standards, and Iroquois Minimum Standards. Performs all other duties assigned. Bachelor’s Degree. Directly related experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis. One year of related experience in sales, marketing, or counseling related services. Must possess valid driver’s license. Must be proficient in the use of commonly used computer software. Job Location/Hours New Jersey, Monday-Friday 8am-5pm
