* Education: High school diploma required. Graduate of a health information technology or health information administration program who is eligible for registration and must obtain credential within one year of hiring, or one who has already obtained credentials of Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT).
* Experience: Previous internships or employment in coding. Previously coded similar accounts (OPS/OBS) for one to five years preferred.
* Licensure/certification/registration: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, CPC-H, or CPC-A required.
